Kizhi is a massage therapy offered for the treatment of problems associated with muscles, bones and joints. Speaking of Elakizhi, ela refers to leaves and kizhi is the term used for bolus (potli). The process involves the use of leaves fried in a herbal oil and tied to a linen cloth that helps form the potli. The massage is carried out using these potlis, natural herbal ingredients, and is known to be very effective.
Elakizhi is usually considered to be a part of the Panchakarma treatment. The leaves of the plants involved are said to have vata optimising properties and are used to make the thick bag (bolus). Elakizhi treatment has recently been gaining popularity for being safe and effective.

NAARANGA KIZHI /
JAMBEERA PINDA SWEDHAM.
Jambeera Pinda Sweda or Naranga Kizhi is a speciality treatment done by Kerala Ayurveda Doctors for treating cervical spondylosis and Inflamed joints. It is a type of kizi fomentation and thus is classified under Pinda (Kizi) sweda. Jambeera is an Ayurvedic term for wild lemon.A good variety of Jambeera (Lemon) is selected and processed with other medicines which have the pharmacological and therapeutic property of relieving pain, inflammation, and stiffness and also which can rejuvenate and strengthen the joints and soft tissue.

Udvarthanam.
Udwarthanam is a special therapeutic deep tissue massage using herbal powders. This massage involves upward stroking, where the powder is rubbed forcibly on the body.This therapy is largely recommended for diabetic neuropathy, obesity, paralysis, skin care, sciatica and indigestion among others. This massage also improves muscle tone and circulation apart from cleansing and nourishing the skin. Udvartana is highly recommended for dissolving excessive fat from the body. Udwarthanam (Udwartana) is very effective in reducing cellulite and fat accumulation. Overweight people can also get benefits from this technique to control their body weight. Nasyam.
Nasyam is a powerful cleaning method for the head region. It mainly cleans the ‘kapha’ dosha from the upper body. It is done by administering medicine through the nose.This Nasyam treatment nourishes and strengthens the head region, senses and intellectual functions. It builds up the weaker parts and is indicated in vata diseases of the head like migraine, loss of voice, diseases of mouth, difficulty in opening eyes and difficulty in lifting hands.Moving further, there’s a number of benefits that can be availed through Nasya.
